This weekend, a carpet auction for a student world music tour raised enough money to buy over 30 instruments for underprivileged schools in Malaysia; KYP’s Eat My Dust movie project won an award at the Jozi Film Festival, and GVN Foundation sent out their annual report, which showed they distributed over US$ 197 000 to vulnerable women and children in 2011.
This is why we continue to do what we do, because it really makes a difference….
Social Change can often come with bit of admin. Don’t let it deter you, it might not feel as ground breaking, but remember that it helps you be that much more effective!
The GVN Foundation received their funds today for Eat So They Can 2011 campaign! It will go to support vulnerable children in Nepal, the Philippnes, Vietnam and India.
KYP has surpassed their fundraising goal for their new center! Woo hoo! The new center will help them to open their doors to more children in the Kliptown community. Well done everyone! And thank you to the Bertha Foundation for matching the amount!
Making better decisions, on a daily basis, can make bigger change, on a worldly basis.
How do we stay inspired and motivated, when we are often far removed from the cause?
